How to Get More
Out of Your Time
(c) 1992 - by Wanda Loskot
According to psychologists, we don't have enough imagination to imagine how
great our imagination is! Amazing - isn't it?
And get this: on average, we use only 3% of our brainpower!
So, believe me, succeeding in business is a piece of
cake for a brain built like yours (or mine!).
The key to success is the ability to see yourself reaching your goals and
then taking an action to fulfill them. To succeed, you need to act as if you
are successful long before the success really happens.
The average person thinks "If I see it I'll believe it' -- the winners know
that the opposite is true. They know that you must believe it first and only
then you will be able to see happen. It is often called reverse ABC
(Conceive it, Believe it, Achieve it)
So, you need to map out a very detailed picture of what you really want to
accomplish - and why. And you want to share your vision with others in a
compelling way -- it is a very powerful marketing tool. And of course
you need to use this map daily to keep yourself on track.
To develop that razor sharp map, begin from defining your vision. The big
picture. This crystal-clear picture of how your business is going to look
when finished.
Next, create your mission statement that truly reflects your core values.
Your mission communicates in one or two paragraphs what you stand for and
what you are trying to accomplish. It will move you and others (whose
support you need) to action.
And finally, set your goals...
Most people skip this process -- no wonder so many businesses fail
(did you know that only one out of 25 businesses survives the first five years!).
During the upcoming
time management workshop I coach participants in the
art of effective goal setting. It might be the perfect opportunity for
you to develop your own powerful blueprint for success!
